Make a Difference Where It Matters Most
Lagans Foundation is a specialist childrens charity providing home health care, respite and support to families of children and young people aged 019 with complex health needs.
Our charity was founded from lived experience of caring for a child with complex congenital heart defects and feeding difficulties, and from understanding just how difficult it can be for families to find the right support once they are at home.
Today, our carers work alongside families across the North West, providing individualised care and respite to children and young people with a wide range of complex and high-dependency health needs.
For some families, having a skilled carer they trust means a parent can rest, spend time with another child, have a meal, take a shower or simply have some time knowing that their child is being safely and compassionately cared for.
For the child or young person, our role is to understand their individual needs, their communication, their routines, their preferences and the clinical care that keeps them safe and well supported.
No two children, families or shifts are the same.
