Job summary

OT (working in the Community Learning Disability Team) in Berkshire Healthcare NHS-Learning Disability Service- Fixed Term Contract

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a Community OT Band 6, (37.5hours per week),FIXED TERM contract12 Months) to work in our Community Team for People with Learning Disabilities in the Bracknell locality.

You will work with a diverse population in both urban and rural settings providing Community OT interventions based on identified needs, to adults who have a learning disability within any community setting. The post holder will also provide advice and support to families/carers and other provider agencies and their employees across Bracknell & Wokingham.

Main duties of the job

  • To manage a caseload
  • To contribute to comprehensive specialist assessment
  • To provide specialist advice and therapeutic interventions to parents and carers of people with a learning

Job description

The must have's for this role:

  • Registered OT with experience of working with people with Learning Disabilities
  • Current OT Registration
  • To hold a driving licence and have access to a car.
  • To have a good understanding of reasonable adjustment
