Job summary

Join our procurement team to become a key member of our fast-paced highly dynamic service, procuring a whole host of important and interesting contracts for goods works and services across a range of sectors.

Main duties of the job

This is the perfect role to use your expertise of procurement, tendering and contract management processes, as well as knowledge of contract law, to drive value for money and ensure procurement supports the delivery of our corporate priorities. Youll be involved in and influence a range of critical procurement projects, providing expert advice and responding to complex queries. Youll lead on procurement activity more independently including those of higher value and higher complexity, managing communications with suppliers and working with legal specialists.

As the Senior Procurement Officer, youll coach, support and supervise junior members of the team, playing an active role in their growth and progression. This includes providing guidance on best practices, sharing technical knowledge, offering constructive feedback and helping them build the skills and confidence needed to succeed within the procurement function.
