Job summary
Ardleigh Surgery on behalf of Stour Estuary PCN, are seeking a GP Assistant to join our team. This role is offered on a fixed term contract until 31st March 2027, subject to continued funding and is offered on a part time basis of 16 hours per week.
Our team includes GP's, ANP's, nurses, pharmacists, dispensers and administrative staff working collaboratively to support our patient population.
The successful applicant will play a key role in supporting our GP's with a mix of administrative and clinical tasks in the community and practice.
Main duties of the job
- Taking patient histories, preparing examination rooms, and ensuring patient comfort.
- Taking and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature and weight.
- Assisting with routine medical procedures under supervision.
- Ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is recorded in electronic health records.
- Supporting patient experience by reiterating information from the GP.
- Maintaining a clean and organised environment in the practice.
