Main duties of the job are:

  • Support the delivery of person-centred care under the supervision of registered and non registered nursing staff.
  • Assist patients with personal care (bathing, dressing, toileting, meals).
  • Help with non-clinical duties in a ward or department.
  • Ensure patient safety, dignity, and wellbeing at all times.

Some of the core tasks required for the role include:

  • Provide excellent customer care skills to ensure patients come first.
  • To act as an advocate for patients within the department/ward/unit.
  • To follow FHFT guidelines, policies, and procedures in maintaining safe workingpractices for patients and colleagues.
  • To ensure that patients' receive high quality communication and a goodexperience, having regard for their customs, religious beliefs, or principles.
