Main duties of the job

They must manage the month-end process including journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations. The role also involves producing variance analysis, preparing monthly reports, supporting junior staff, and collaborating with department heads on budgeting and forecasting. Strong analytical skills and proficiency with financial systems are essential.

What youll be doing

  • Managing the monthend process, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Preparing monthly financial performance reports, KPIs, and adhoc analysis for senior stakeholders
  • Supporting and mentoring junior accounting staff, helping to develop capability and best practice
  • Collaborating with department heads on budgeting and forecasting aligned to strategic goals
  • Monitoring business costs and identifying opportunities to improve financial performance
  • Ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal processes
  • Maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting continuous improvement across systems, processes, and reporting

What were looking for

  • Fully qualified ACCA, ACA, or CIMA
  • 23 years experience in management accounting
  • Experience in a senior or supervisory role
  • Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency with financial systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills
  • Confident communicator able to present financial information to nonfinancial colleagues
  • Highly organised, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • A collaborative, professional approach and commitment to high standards
