Main duties of the job
As a Receptionist at Avery Healthcare's Braintree Mews Care Home, your primary focus will be on providing professional and high-quality customer service at the reception area. You will serve as the initial point of contact for the home, greeting visitors and handling phone calls with patience and efficiency. Additional responsibilities include administration work related to reception duties, maintaining databases, and assisting the General Manager as needed. The role emphasizes the importance of friendly communication, computer proficiency, and problem-solving as candidates will also be expected to address client complaints and maintain the tidiness of the reception area. The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, confidence in using computers, and a welcoming attitude. Previous experience related to problem-solving and handling client complaints is required. Avery Healthcare offers a supportive environment, ensuring its team members feel respected and valued in their efforts. Successful applicants must complete a DBS check, which will be funded by Avery Healthcare, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

Your focus as a receptionist will be to offer professional, high quality customer service as first point of contact within the home as well as providing a range of administrative services.
Other responsibilitieswillinclude:
- Answering the telephone and responding to enquiries at reception, redirecting calls to relevant staff and recording messages accordingly.
- Completingreception-related administration,maintainingdatabases,and providing administrativeassistanceas required by the General Manager.
- Maintainingthe general tidiness of the reception area, liaising with Housekeeping to ensure standards aremaintained.
