The Female Night Care and Support Worker will play a key role within Jewish Cares Retirement Living Service at Pears Court, supporting tenants to live independently while ensuring their safety, dignity, wellbeing, and sense of connection throughout the night. Working an average of 35 hours per week across a two-week rolling rota, with night shifts from 9pm to 7am, the postholder will provide person-centred care and practical support to tenants in their own homes. The role involves supporting personal care and daily living, promoting independence and choice, building trusted relationships, responding to wellbeing needs, and maintaining accurate care records. The postholder will also work with colleagues and health and social care professionals to provide joined-up support and help create a safe, welcoming community. Experience in care is helpful but not essential, with full training provided.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a caring, compassionate and reliable Female Night Care and Support Worker to join our Retirement Living Service at Pears Court. Working nights on a two-week rolling rota, you will support tenants in their own homes, helping them remain independent, safe and connected to their community. We are seeking a Night Care and Support Worker for our Pears Court Retirement Living Service.

At Jewish Care, we support people to live independently, with dignity and connection at the heart of everything we do. Our Retirement Living services offer a vibrant, supportive community where tenants can enjoy their independence, knowing care and support are there when needed.

This role is based on an average of 35 hours per week, worked across a two-week rolling rota. Night shifts run from 9:00pm to 7:00am.

The shift pattern is as follows:

Week 1: Saturday, Sunday, Thursday, Friday Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

There is a genuine occupational requirement, in accordance with the Sex Discrimination Act 1974, for the postholder to be female.

About the role This isnt a typical care role.

As a Care & Support Worker, youll support tenants living in their own flatshelping them stay independent, connected, and in control of their lives. From practical support to companionship, youll build meaningful relationships and play a key role in creating a strong community.
