Main duties of the job
As a Care Assistant at Barchester care home, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of the residents by providing essential care and support. This is a twilight role, meaning you will be assisting residents during the late hours, ensuring they receive the attention and assistance they need. Your duties will include helping with daily living activities, providing companionship, and supporting residents with food and drink, always ensuring that each resident has quality one-to-one time. You should have previous experience in caring for older people, a proactive attitude, and excellent communication skills. Empathy and compassion are core qualities needed to deliver high-quality care and support to residents.
