We are now seeking to appoint two enthusiastic Progress Mentors who will join a successful team. The persons appointed will provide support for pupils' learning and, as importantly, the wider pastoral needs of pupils throughout the school under the guidance of the SENDCO and Inclusion Manager.  The role will include in-class, small group and one-to-one support, and an ability to work with pupils and teachers is essential.  Experience of working with children in a supportive capacity is highly desirable, with the role centred on learning support, but with care and support of an individual at its heart.

In addition, all staff have access to Benenden Health care, family friendly working policy and opportunities for personal development to support individuals in their role and career.

Pensby High School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants for this post must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including reference checks with previous employers and an enhanced criminal record check.

All applicants will be considered on the basis of suitability for the post regardless of sex, race or disability.

If you do not hear from us within 6 weeks you have not been shortlisted for interview. Unfortunately, there is no scope for individual feedback at this stage.

An application form and further information is available from the school website, https://www.pensbyhighschool.org/ or https://www.wirral.gov.uk/ Please return completed application forms with a supporting letter on no more than two sides of A4 to Mr K Flanagan, Headteacher at the above address or emailed to https://[email protected]

Please note we do not accept C.V¿s or approaches from Recruitment Agencies.
