Inspire, support and empower young people to achieve their full potential.
We are looking for a caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team and provide high-quality support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will help create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils individually and in groups to access learning and participate fully in school life.
- Assist with the implementation of EHCPs, behaviour plans and personal care programmes where required.
- Promote independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
- Support the delivery of learning activities and adapt tasks to meet individual pupil needs.
- Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff.
- Help maintain a safe, engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support pupils during breaktimes, educational visits and school activities.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about supporting children and young people with SEND.
- Patient, caring and able to build positive relationships with pupils.
- A strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Committed to promoting inclusion, wellbeing and high expectations for all learners.
- Flexible, proactive and willing to contribute to the wider life of the school.
Previous experience of working with children or young people with SEND is desirable but not essential.
