Location: Crane Park Day Nursery, Norman Avenue, Hanworth, TW13 5LN

Salary: £34,488 per annum (pro rata)

NURSERY FINANCE ASSISTANT

Salary: £34,488 per annum (pro rata)

Hours: starting 28-30 hours per week with a view to increase to 36 hours within a year

Contract: Permanent

We are looking for a Finance/Admin Assistant to join our friendly nursery team and provide efficient administrative and financial support.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organised, reliable and confident working with numbers, with a keen eye for detail and a professional approach to handling confidential information.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting with day-to-day financial administration and record keeping

Processing invoices, payments and receipts

Monitoring nursery fee payments and following up outstanding balances

Processing Early Years funding applications to the Local Authority

Maintaining accurate financial records and spreadsheets

Assisting with payroll and staff-related financial administration

Supporting purchase orders and supplier accounts

Preparing basic financial reports and information for management and accountants

Liaising professionally with parents, suppliers and colleagues regarding financial queries

Providing general administrative support to the nursery team

Maintaining confidentiality and complying with relevant nursery policies and procedures

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has previous experience in finance, accounts or administration

Is confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Has excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

Is comfortable working with figures and maintaining accurate records

Communicates clearly and professionally

Can work independently while also being a supportive team member

Is reliable, approachable and able to manage competing priorities

Understands the importance of confidentiality when working with financial and personal information

Previous experience within a nursery, school or childcare setting would be an advantage, but is not essential.
