Applications are welcome to recruit to a permanent 37 hour Supervisor post in Day Opportunities.

Day Opportunities offers day support to people with a wide range of Learning disabilities , autism and complex support needs. You will be responsible for a team of Support Assistants across 2 venues, Stephenson Resource Centre and Grange Valley Centre, implementing activity plans that embody the 5 ways to well being. Offering people the opportunity to be independent and to explore travel is part of a pathway to employment where appropriate and referral to the Supported Employment Team enables this work area to be explored.

Flexibility and an ability to work from various locations is essential to this role, occasionally at short notice.

We engage people in physical activity as part of the Day Support strategy to enable people to lead happier, healthier lives. Occasionally assisting with physical activity in the event of staff absence is an essential part of the role, as is a physical ability to assist with all areas of support for those with complex physical needs.

The role is very varied and ranges from direct support, managing staff and and a basic knowledge of I.T. Training will be provided.

Hours 7.30 per day plus 30 min break Monday- Friday flexibly between 8.30 and 5pm

Roles That Matter

Role Overview;

The Supervisor will provide operational oversight and contribute to the effective and safe running of the day service.

Key duties include;

Coordinating daily staffing and overseeing service delivery.

Managing a service user caseload including care planning and record keeping.

Supporting safeguarding, risk management, and quality assurance processes.

Undertaking premises responsibilities such as, risk assessing, reporting of faults, fire alarm testing .

Hours and Shift Pattern;

37 hours per week

Worked within the established Supervisor rota.

Core hours between 8:30am to 5:00pm.
