Job Title: Cleaner

Reports to: Site Manager

Hours: Part time, 10 hours per week

2 positions available with working hours of 6.00am –8.00am Monday to Friday or

3.30pm – 5.30pm Monday to Friday

Salary: £25,614 FTE (actual salary £6,922.70 based on 10 hours per week)

Main Purpose of the Job:

To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for all pupils, staff, and visitors at St Margarets CE Primary School.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitise designated areas including classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas.

Perform daily cleaning duties such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and emptying waste bins.

Ensure all cleaning materials and supplies are stored safely and used efficiently.

Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Site Manager.

Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

Person Specification Qualifications and Training:

Basic literacy and numeracy skills.

Experience:

Previous experience in a cleaning role is desirable but not essential.

Skills and Knowledge:

Ability to operate cleaning equipment effectively.

Knowledge of health and safety practices related to cleaning.

Personal Qualities:

Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.

Reliable and punctual.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
