Main duties of the job

As a Senior Care Assistant, your role is to support and collaborate with the Care team to provide high standards of personal care and cultivate a safe, supportive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. You will monitor residents' wellbeing, update care plans, support medication requirements, conduct staff supervisions, act as a liaison for residents, their families, and healthcare professionals, address requests, and escalate concerns or complaints. Our ideal candidate lives our values of being caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable, holds an NVQ 3 in care, possesses two years of experience in a similar setting, and demonstrates effective communication skills. A positive attitude towards supporting and nurturing both residents and staff is crucial. Flexibility in covering various responsibilities is also essential. A DBS Disclosure check, covered by Avery, and proof of eligibility to work in the UK are required for this position.

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
• Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
• Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.

• Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• Have 2 years experience working in similar care environment.

• Beresponsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
