Job summary

Here at InHealth, we are expanding our teams and we have a requirement for a Healthcare Support Workers/Decontamination Technicians to join our Endoscopy team in our brand new Community Diagnostic Centre in Yeovil.

You will deliver an Endoscopy service to the highest standard, using a model of care that recognises the psychological, physical and social needs of our patients.

Full Time / 37.5 hour contract / 8am - 6pm / 4 days a week / Flexibility through Monday - Sunday

Main duties of the job

  • Welcoming patients to the clinic in a professional manner and acting as patient advocate at all times.
  • Cleaning, monitoring and tidying equipment as directed and report any problems or malfunctions to senior member of staff
  • Record, feedback and convey relevant patient information/observations to the seniors.
  • Delivers patient care in accordance with the care plan as documented by the Senior Nurse.
  • Maintain effective communications with patients, relatives and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrates positive attitude, acting as an advocate for InHealth and deliver highest standard of care accordingly.

What you'll do:

  • Welcome patients professionally & act as their advocate

  • Record & share relevant patient info/observations
  • Deliver patient care as per Senior Nurses care plan
  • Maintain clear communication with patients, relatives & team
  • Show a positive attitude & uphold InHealths high standards

You will:

Obtain, prior to starting your role, and maintain throughout your employment, vaccination status including evidence of immunity in accordance with the requirements of the role. This includes Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR), Varicella (Chickenpox), Tuberculosis (TB), and any other routine healthcare worker immunisations relevant to the duties undertaken.
