Main duties of the job

You will contribute to strategic priorities, strengthen partnerships across the local Maternity and Neonatal system, and help transform services in response to the needs of our diverse communities. - As a visible and influential leader, you will champion safety, quality and personalised care, driving innovation & continuous improvement while creating a culture where colleagues feel valued, empowered and supported to thrive.
- You will play a key role in shaping the future of care for women, babies and families.
- The successful candidate will have significant senior leadership experience, a strong understanding of maternity and neonatal services, and a proven ability to build high-performing teams, influence strategically and deliver sustainable improvement. Above all, you will be passionate about ensuring the voices of women, babies and families remain at the heart of every decision we make.
Job description
- Some of the duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the Associate Director of Midwifery & Neonatal Services role and its purpose within the service; they are not exhaustive, and the post holder may be required to undertake additional or alternative duties and responsibilities commensurate with the level of the post, to support the smooth running of the services.
- To ensure robust governance systems and processes are in place, striving for excellence by embedding learning from incidents and complaints.
- Establish and maintain excellent internal and external relationships is essential to the delivery of a safe and high-quality service, influencing public health, health visiting, safeguarding, social care, mental health services, and service users as key partnerships.
- Assist the DoM in interpreting national policy and strategy and supporting the Trusts response to Maternity Transformation initiatives, helping to ensure effective local implementation across maternity and midwifery services.
