Job summary

The Fens is a therapeutic, person-centred ward with a strong focus on hope, dignity, collaboration, meaningful occupation and safe progression towards community living. The ward achieved AIMS accreditation in May 2025, with reaccreditation due in February 2028.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a compassionate multidisciplinary team where Occupational Therapy is central to helping people rebuild daily living skills, confidence and independence. You will deliver a range of individual and group interventions, including ADL assessment, cooking, budgeting, shopping, public transport training, sensory work, gardening, walking groups, mindfulness, Recovery College links, volunteering and community-based graded exposure.

We are looking for a reflective, compassionate and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist who values co-production, trauma-informed care, least restrictive practice and positive risk taking. You will work alongside service users, carers, psychologists, nursing staff, social care, peer support workers and community teams to support recovery, relapse prevention and safe discharge planning.

Main duties of the job

You will have the opportunity to participate and maintain high quality care within the ward environment to work alongside service users to aid in their recovery and transition back to independence.

You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Psychologists, Doctors, Nurses, Social Worker and Physical Health Care Nurse. As part of your Occupational Therapy Team you will have and Occupational Therapy Assistant.
