No two weeks are likely to look exactly the same.
Job description
Job Title:
Operations Lead - NENC Primary Care Collaborative
Hosted by:
Hartlepool & Stockton Health GP Federation
Reports to:
Co-Chair, NENC Primary Care Collaborative Board
Location:
Stockton-on-Tees office base. Some travel across the North East and North Cumbria will be required. Some home working is possible.
Hours:
Part time between 21 and 25 hours per week. Flexible working considered.
In this new role you will focus on the following areas:
Leading and coordinating a small portfolio of projects, keeping delivery on track and making sure agreed actions happen.
Managing and monitoring contracts, service agreements and related documentation, including key milestones, reporting and follow-up.
Building trusted relationships with people across general practice, community pharmacy, dentistry, optometry and the wider primary care family, as well as NHS, local authority, VCSE and other partners.
Supporting the NENC Primary Care Collaborative Board, including planning meetings, preparing clear papers and agendas, taking accurate minutes and maintaining action logs.
Helping turn Board discussions and priorities into practical plans, communications and delivery.
Producing concise reports, briefings, presentations, spreadsheets and updates for a range of audiences.
Keeping good records, tracking deadlines, risks, decisions and progress, and making sure people have the information they need.
Spotting opportunities to improve how the Collaborative works and bringing ideas, energy and practical solutions to a developing role.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with lots of different people and can quickly build credibility and positive working relationships. You will be able to communicate clearly, keep on top of detail and priorities, and work independently while knowing when to involve others. You will be confident using Microsoft Office and digital tools, and able to move comfortably between organising a Board meeting, progressing a project, reviewing a contract and speaking with stakeholders.
Because this is a new role, we do not expect everything to be fully formed from day one. We want someone who is curious, flexible and willing to learn, share and adapt as the Collaborative develops. You will need to be happy working in an environment where priorities can evolve and where a sensible, practical approach matters.
You do not need to know everything about the NHS or primary care when you arrive, but an understanding of health and care would be useful. More important is your ability to organise, communicate, build relationships and get things done. We will provide a supportive working environment and the opportunity to learn and grow with the role.
This description is intended as a guide rather than an exhaustive list of requirements. The role will develop as the NENC Primary Care Collaborative develops too.
