Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and compassionate Band 5 Staff Nurse to join the Darlington Community Mental Health Team. As a Band 5 Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality mental health care within a multidisciplinary team, supporting service users and their families.

Whether you're an experienced Registered Nurse or a Newly Registered Nurse, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a service that puts patient care first. You will have the time and support to make a real difference every day.

Student Nurse's that are due to register in the next 3 months are very welcome to apply. Full training and Preceptorship programme will be provided to help you build confidence and develop your career in this specialist area.

Main duties of the job

The successful postholder will deliver evidence-based, recovery-focused care to individuals experiencing early psychosis.

You will undertake comprehensive mental health assessments and contribute to care planning.

You will support physical health monitoring and promote wellbeing.

In addition to this, the postholder will work collaboratively with carers, families, and partner agencies.

You will contribute to risk assessment and risk management planning, participate in psychoeducation and therapeutic interventions under supervision and maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in line with Trust policies.

You will engage in team meetings, supervision, and continuous professional development.
