The role

London South Bank University is excited to be recruiting for the following Lecturer (Teaching & Research) roles within our vibrant School of Engineering and Design:

3 Lectureships in Mechanical Engineering and Product Design

1 Lectureship in Electrical and Electronic Engineering

1 Lectureship in Chemical Engineering

5 Lectureships in Civil and Building Services Engineering.

These positions offer excellent opportunities for emerging academics to contribute to the continued development of our Engineering and Design portfolio. Successful candidates will play a key role in delivering inspiring, practice‑led teaching, supporting student learning, and shaping an industry‑relevant curriculum that integrates core engineering principles with creativity, sustainability and innovation.

What you will bring

A strong foundation in the selected discipline, with expertise that complements our teaching and research strengths.

Experience of teaching, tutoring or demonstrating in higher education, including project‑based or active‑learning environments.

An emerging track record of research, scholarship or professional practice, evidenced through high‑quality journal publications, project outputs or engagement with industry.

The ability to deliver modules outside of immediate research expertise, across a wider Engineering and Design curriculum including, inter alia, sustainability; circular economy; engineering management and many others.
