The R&I Funds Manager runs LSE's internal funding schemes end-to-end and manages the implementation of the School's hypothecated and block funding, including budget allocation, financial oversight, monitoring and reporting on the use of funds. The postholder also leads the assessment processes behind the schemes, from funding packs and peer review through to papers for senior committees, and develops the databases and trackers that underpin reporting and decision-making across the Division.

Candidates should have

Experience of financial and project management for delivery of projects or large programmes of activity

Experience managing budgets and reporting on a regular basis with a high degree of accuracy, including monitoring, forecasting and reconciliation of expenditure

Experience of managing a funding scheme, grant programme or comparable application and assessment process

Knowledge of the UK or other advanced translational funding landscapes and external factors affecting institutional funding policies and practices
