Opportunity Overview

The University of Salford is looking for an experienced Digital Manager to join our Marketing team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented digital marketer to play a pivotal role in delivering our student recruitment strategy, with particular responsibility for leading the University's Clearing campaign.

About the role

Reporting to the Brand & Campaign manager you'll be responsible for planning, managing and optimising multi-channel digital campaigns that help prospective students find the right course and make informed decisions about their future. Working alongside colleagues across marketing, recruitment, web and communications, you'll ensure our digital activity delivers outstanding results against ambitious recruitment targets.

Alongside leading the Clearing campaign which is one of the busiest periods in the higher education recruitment calendar, you'll oversee a range of digital recruitment campaigns throughout the year, managing external media and creative agencies, monitoring campaign performance, and using data and insight to continually optimise activity across paid search, social media, display, web and analytics.

You'll bring significant experience of delivering successful digital marketing campaigns, excellent knowledge of digital advertising platforms, analytics and campaign measurement, and the ability to translate insight into action. You'll be comfortable managing multiple priorities, working collaboratively with stakeholders and presenting performance to senior colleagues.

We're looking for someone who has:

Proven experience delivering high-performing digital marketing campaigns.

Experience managing agencies and paid digital media.

Strong analytical skills with experience using digital performance data to optimise campaigns.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

The ability to work at pace, manage competing priorities and deliver results to tight deadlines. Experience in higher education or a similar sector is desirable, but we welcome applicants from a range of industries with relevant digital marketing expertise.

What's in it for you?

Competitive salary - and excellent pension scheme

An impressive 32 days leave - plus bank holidays, additional time off at Christmas and the opportunity to buy even more!

Flexible working - we support a culture of flexible and agile working to help you find the right balance

Our community - there's a real sense of belonging here at Salford. We value diversity, in backgrounds and in experiences.  Our difference makes us stronger, and together we share a passion for improving students' lives - join us here in Salford and be part of one of the UK's fastest growing universities

A rewarding career - where everything you do will make a difference. To our students, our local community, and the world around you

Please note this opportunity may close early depending on applicant volume.
