Job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Treatment Room Nurse to join our friendly primary care team for 37.5hpw for a one year period to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients within our busy GP practice and play an important role in delivering treatment room services.

This is an excellent opportunity for a registered nurse with experience in primary care or community nursing who is passionate about patient-centred care and health promotion.

Main duties of the job

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Wound care and dressing management
• Immunisations and vaccinations
• Cervical screening
• Venepuncture and specimen collection
• Blood pressure monitoring and ECGs
• Health promotion and lifestyle advice
• Chronic disease monitoring and support
• Infection prevention and control activities
• Maintaining accurate patient records using clinical systems (S1)
• Working collaboratively with GPs, healthcare assistants, and the wider multidisciplinary team
