An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to work as part of a dynamic team, supporting the development of high quality, integrated care across South London.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an experienced project manager to join the South London Office of Specialised Services (SLOSS) team to lead a programme and build, manage and maintain strong and collaborative working relationships with all the key stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the continuation and embedding of work to ensure patients have equitable, timely, and local access to comprehensive, high quality, clinically sustainable and financially viable services, irrespective of where, when, or how, they access services.

The post holder will work closely with clinical leaders and commissioning colleagues across southeast and southwest London. A key aspect of this role will involve building professional relationships and collaborating with communities to ensure initiatives are informed by patient perspectives and community needs.

Initially, the role will support the Blood Borne Virus (BBV) programme, including delivery of the Emergency Department Opt-Out Testing programme and management of the South London HIV Network. The post holder will help drive transformation initiatives that improve early diagnosis, reduce health inequalities, strengthen pathways of care and improve outcomes for people living with HIV, hepatitis B and hepatitis C.

Job description

You will need to be able to work across a range of teams and have the experience to navigate multiple organisations. You will work with the existing overarching workstreams of specialised and core commissioning, directing and advancing their progress towards high-quality healthcare, with targeted improvement of the patient experience, quality, and value for money.

The post is hosted by Guys and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust, with accountability to SLOSS, Southeast and SouthWest London ICBs and NHS England.

The post is available on a secondment of fixed term basis for a period of up to 18 months, until March 2028.

About us

The role is suitable for those with excellent project management skills and experience working on projects to reduce health inequalities. You should have demonstrable experience of delivering transformational change initiatives and significant influencing and persuasion skills to engage with the wide range of teams and stakeholders for the programmes.
