Job summary

Working as part of a team the post holder will contribute to the efficient operation of the Technical Accounts team, covering treasury and balance sheet control.

Main duties of the job

Proactively contribute to the production of the Trust's monthly financial information and annual statutory accounts.

Maintaining the Trusts supplier database, updating and recording supplier information, being fraud aware and carrying out security checks on supplier information.

Ensure Trust income is recorded and receipted accurately and within monthly financial reporting schedules.

Responsible for monitoring and clearing suspense codes.

Assist in the completion of the NHS agreement of balances exercise in relation to income and expenditure transactions.

Support band 4 with the Injury Cost Recovery (ICR) process, maintaining database, interrogation of patient administration system and submitting forms to compensation recovery unit.

  • Support band 4 with the Injury Cost Recovery (ICR) process, maintaining database, interrogation of patient administration system and submitting forms to compensation recovery unit.
  • Continually seek to identify areas for improvement within Financial Services and propose procedures to facilitate this while understanding the impact of the sections work on other areas of the Finance department.
  • Analyse, investigate and resolve financial queries, identifying solutions from a range of options.
  • Responsible for planning and organising own workloads to meet departmental timetables and deadlines, working between a number of tasks at any one time, prioritising workload as required.
