Blackburn with Darwen Safeguarding Adults Board is passionate and ambitious about delivering services for our communities, families and workforce. As such we are looking to recruit a Business Support Officer as part of our Safeguarding Partnerships team, which is working hard to transform the way we provide back office and administrative support.
The successful candidate would be working as part of our Safeguarding Partnerships support team.
You will gain experience in a professional, fast paced office environment and have the opportunity for cross team working, opening up the wider organisation for you to become an important part of.

Having an effective business support function helps make our organisation operate more smoothly and we rely on our Safeguarding Partnerships Business Support team to provide a variety of administrative support across the partnership.
The role is busy and varied and no two days are the same however we offer a unique opportunity to provide vital administration and whilst helping to transform the way we operate to a more digital approach.

The Government has confirmed plans to reorganise local government across Lancashire. From April 2028, the current 15 councils will be replaced by four new unitary councils covering North, South, East and West Lancashire.
If you're successful in your application, you'll initially join Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council. As part of the reorganisation, your employment will transfer to the new East Lancashire council from April 2028.
