As an Operational Care Quality Partner in the North Division, your role will involve supporting care homes to enhance quality, strengthen performance, and achieve sustainable results for residents. This visible, hands-on role is particularly involved with homes lacking a General Manager or requiring focused improvement. You will collaborate with Regional Directors, General Managers, and care teams to evaluate performance, prioritize tasks, and execute effective plans for improvement. You will spearhead care quality and clinical improvements, formulating measurable improvement strategies for underperforming services. In addition to enhancing clinical governance, you will oversee areas such as risk, incidents, and resident outcomes. About the role
Youll work alongside Regional Directors, General Managers and care teams to assess performance, identify priorities and implement effective improvement plans.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead care quality and clinical improvements across supported homes.
- Assess underperforming services and implement measurable improvement plans.
- Strengthen clinical governance, including oversight of risk, incidents and resident outcomes.
- Support regulatory compliance, CQC inspection readiness and post-inspection actions.
- Coach and support nurses, managers and care teams.
- Support serious complaint and event investigations, ensuring learning is shared.
- Travel across the division and respond flexibly to urgent operational needs.
About You
You will:
- Be a qualified nurse with current NMC registration.
- Have substantial experience managing or supporting care home operations.
- Have multi-site or regional experience.
- Demonstrate a track record of improving quality, compliance and service performance.
- Have strong knowledge of CQC requirements and clinical governance.
- Hold a Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care Management or be willing to work towards it.
- Be an influential, resilient and adaptable leader.
- Be able to travel extensively across the division, including at short notice.
