An opportunity has arisen in our Lansdowne Team, who are looking for an experienced Team Secretary. The role will play a key part in the administrative support to the wider clinical team, and you will need to be flexible, proactive, calm under pressure and a team player.
Main duties of the job
You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to prioritise and adapt to constant demands on the workload as well as to demonstrate the ability to work as a team member.The post holder is responsible for carrying out general secretarial duties; work within set routines and processes, policies and procedures to provide a comprehensive high quality service to the service, and able to deal efficiently and courteously with patients and staff enquiries. Relevant experience working as a secretary is essential.
Essential skills required for the post include - the ability to prioritise tasks, effective time management skills; excellent IT and secretarial skills; good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
Job description
The roles supports the clinical team with administrative and secretarial duties, including:
- Typing and sending clinic letters
- Using our Electronic Patient Record system
- Working from a shared inbox
- Booking appointments and diary management
- Telephone calls to and from service users, carers, staff
