Job summary

t2 Group are recruiting for a Health and Social Care Assessor to support learners working towards apprenticeship qualifications across workplace settings.

You will support, coach and assess learners, helping them develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to successfully complete their programme.

The role covers Cambridge and surrounding areas and combines remote delivery with planned workplace visits.

This role would suit candidates with experience in Adult Care as a Senior Carer, Care Coordinator, Team Leader, Deputy Manager, Registered Manager, Care Manager or an existing Health & Social Care Assessor.

Main duties of the job

  • Build strong relationships with learners and employers through regular reviews and engagement
  • Deliver high-quality teaching, coaching and assessment sessions aligned to apprenticeship standards
  • Conduct workplace observations to assess practical competency
  • Review learner work and provide timely, constructive feedback
  • Support learners with Functional Skills (Maths & English) where required
  • Prepare learners for End Point Assessment (EPA)
  • Monitor learner progress and ensure timely achievement of qualifications
  • Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and a safe learning environment at all times

Job description

Essential Criteria

  • Level 3 or above qualification in Health & Social Care.
  • Minimum 2 years' recent experience in Adult Health & Social Care (Senior Carer level or above).
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

  • Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 per annum plus bonus and expenses.
  • No learner sourcing is required. All learners are provided, allowing you to focus on delivery, coaching and assessment.
  • This role is sometimes referred to as Apprenticeship Assessor, Health and Social Care Tutor or Skills Coach within Health and Social Care.
