Job summary
The Uplands Medical Practice is seeking an enthusiastic and patient focused Salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive team for 3 sessions a week, on a 6 month fixed contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a committed clinician to work within a progressive and well-established GP practice delivering high-quality primary care services to our patient population. The successful candidate will provide a mix of face-to-face, telephone, and video consultations, including the management of urgent on-the-day appointments.
The role offers clinical autonomy, a supportive multidisciplinary team environment, and opportunities for professional development.
Main duties of the job
Clinical Responsibilities
- Conduct face-to-face, telephone, and video consultations.
- Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Treat patients through urgent on-the-day / routine appointments safely and effectively.
- Prescribe safely and appropriately within current guidelines.
- Manage patients with long-term conditions and complex healthcare needs.
- Undertake home visits where clinically appropriate.
- Provide health promotion and preventative healthcare advice.
- Review investigation results and formulate management plans.
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records using EMIS Web.
- Refer patients appropriately to secondary care and community services.
- Identify safeguarding concerns and act in accordance with practice policies.
- Contribute to the achievement of QOF and enhanced service targets.

- Contribute to quality improvement and audit projects.
- Maintain continuing professional development and mandatory training.
- Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team.
