Main duties of the job

As a Receptionist at Avery Healthcare, your role involves offering professional, high-quality customer service as the first point of contact at Winchester Heights Care Home. You'll support the administrative functions and ensure the reception operates smoothly. Main responsibilities include answering phones, responding to inquiries at reception, redirecting calls, and recording messages accurately. You will complete reception-related administration, maintaining databases, and providing administrative assistance as required by the General Manager. Ensuring the tidiness of the reception area and liaising with housekeeping to maintain standards are also part of the role. Successful applicants will embody our values of being caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all that they do. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be confident with computers, and have a positive, friendly, and welcoming attitude. Your focus as a receptionist will be to offer professional, high quality customer service as first point of contact within the home as well as providing a range of administrative services.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

  • Answering the telephone and responding to enquiries at reception, redirecting calls to relevant staff and recording messages accordingly.
  • Completingreception-related administration,maintainingdatabases,and providing administrativeassistanceas required by the General Manager.
  • Maintainingthe general tidiness of the reception area, liaising with Housekeeping to ensure standards aremaintained.
