Job description
HMPPS Band 9
Enable is a five-year transformation programme focused on strengthening learning, capability and leadership across the prison workforce, supporting sustainable improvements and better outcomes across HMPPS.
We are seeking a motivated, organised and collaborative individual to join the team as a Senior Evidence Specialist Lead for a period of 12 months covering maternity leave.
This role will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders across different teams and disciplines to embed evidence-informed approaches into programme delivery and decision-making.
Candidates with experience of working with non-analytical colleagues to develop and implement learning activities will be well placed to succeed in this role. Experience facilitating Theory of Change workshops, establishing and embedding monitoring frameworks, and managing commissioned research and evaluation projects would be particularly valuable.
The role requires someone who is comfortable operating in a challenging policy environment and familiar applying proportionate and pragmatic approaches to learning, evaluation and continuous improvement.
Experience influencing senior operational leaders through the clear communication of evidence and insights would also be advantageous.
Specialist expertise: evidenced in a formal post graduate qualification relating to research (Masters level or above) - either a qualification in research methods or evidence of considerable experience reviewing and conducting research studies.
