This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Ministry of Justice’s Campaigns, Digital and Insight (CDI) team and help deliver high-profile communications that support department, government and No.10 priorities and make a real-world impact.
The team deliver a broad portfolio of insight-led campaigns, spanning victims’ rights, violence against women and girls, community sentencing, legal services, public confidence in the justice system and wider ministerial priorities.
This is a chance for a talented communications professional to work on behaviour-change, public information, stakeholder and reputation campaigns, turning complex justice policy into clear, compelling communications.

Job description
As Senior Campaigns Advisor, you will support the development and delivery of high-quality campaigns in the CDI portfolio.
You will work with policy, strategy, digital, marketing, press office, external affairs, insight and operational colleagues, alongside partners across government, agencies and external organisations, to deliver cohesive campaigns that support MoJ priorities.
You will lead the development and delivery of campaigns, produce clear written, digital and social media content, support ministerial briefings and submissions, coordinate stakeholder engagement, deliver paid-for activity and help manage agency work across creative, media, research, evaluation and partnership activity.
You may support campaign activity across England & Wales and, where relevant, internationally, including stakeholder engagement, events, partnership activity and content capture.
The role is ideal for a dynamic and creative communicator who is comfortable handling sensitive and high-profile issues, bringing grip to a varied portfolio and working at pace.
You will report to one of the Heads of Campaigns and work closely with senior colleagues across the directorate.
Key responsibilities
Lead planning and implementation of insight-led communications activity across for the team’s priority campaigns.
Manage work to deadline, delivering agreed campaign objectives, milestones, outcomes and value for money.
Work with the Head of Campaigns and wider team to collaborate with colleagues across the directorate.
Support events, stakeholder engagement, creative development, partnership activity, ministerial moments and campaign launches across different policy areas.
Lead on high-quality written content for social media, campaign updates, submissions, briefing material, partner products and stakeholder communications.
Coordinate project teams and delivery partners across paid, owned, earned and shared channels.
Identify communications risks and opportunities, including stakeholder sensitivities, reputational issues and alignment with wider government messaging.
Evaluate and report campaign progress and outcomes, using insight and learning to improve future activity.
Develop strong sector knowledge across MoJ campaign areas.
Skills, experience and attributes
Proven experience delivering communications campaigns within government, the public sector or a similar organisation.
Adaptable, collaborative and able to work at pace on sensitive and high-profile issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn complex policy and insight into clear, audience-focused content.
Creative and confident developing low and no-cost campaigns across digital, owned, earned, paid and offline channels.
Strong organisational, project management and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Able to build strong relationships with policy teams, agencies, stakeholders and partner organisations.
Good understanding of insight, data and evaluation, and how to use results to improve communications outcomes.
Confident advising and influencing senior stakeholders, including Ministers and senior officials.
Experience of behaviour-change, public information, social impact, stakeholder, reputation or international campaigns is desirable.
