Job description
The advertised role sits in the Nottingham Inquiry Secretariat, working to the G7 Head of Operations and Policy and alongside the project management lead. The team sits under the G6 Deputy Secretary and Secretary to the Inquiry (Deputy Director level).
Responsibilities
The role will involve leading on your own areas and supporting the Chair, Inquiry Secretary and Deputy Secretary by delivering the following:
Report Preparation
Complete the scoping exercise for the report’s publication requirements and work closely with MoJ’s commercial colleagues to support the onboarding of the external publisher producing the report.
Manage the relationship with the publisher, including supporting editing, proofing, formatting, and printing requirements.
Work closely with the Head of Operations and Policy and the Inquiry’s project team to map and monitor the delivery of the Inquiry’s report to tight deadlines.
Event Management
Work closely with MoJ commercial colleagues to ensure commercial agreements are in place for external contractors for key activities such as security, counselling and audio visual.
Oversee preparation arrangements with the venue to ensure matters such as fire evacuation procedures, room layout, etc are agreed and in place.
Work closely with the Secretary, Deputy Secretary and Head of Operations and Policy to finalise arrangements for the running of the publication event, including managing the registration process for key individuals attending on the day.
Work closely with the venue management team, and contractors supporting the Inquiry to swiftly respond to real-time queries and issues.
Secretariat Logistics Lead
Management and triage of enquiries to the Inquiry from the public and interested parties.
Work with the Inquiry Secretary and Deputy Secretary on ad hoc projects to deliver the work of the Inquiry.
