We have an exciting opportunity for 7 Service Support Officers in the Criminal Fines Collection and Enforcement (Enforcement) Service Management Team.

This is an exciting time to join the Criminal Fines Compliance and Enforcement Service Management team as we have multiple strands of development work underway including supporting Decommissioning & Legacy Risk Mitigation Programme (DLRM) in its development of Opal which will replace the Libra Green on Black IT system currently used in Enforcement.
This area of work is a business priority for HMCTS and other government departments and there is a need for strategic leadership in this area and to work closely with the Home Office and other parts of HMCTS and MOJ. This role requires knowledge or experience of the work of Criminal Fines Collection and Enforcement with knowledge or experience of the payment processes used and/or confiscation order enforcement an advantage. The role can be based in any National Services office. There is a requirement for regular visits to Enforcement sites.
The Service Management team is a relatively small team supporting the Enforcement operational team by leading and developing the priorities facilitating delivery and ensuring the issues that can impact on the running of the service are managed effectively. The role will lead discussions on complex issues, with significant operational risks and influence internal and external stakeholders, reconciling differing priorities and representing the organisation on major issues.
Your role
As a service support officer, you will play a key role in supporting the Enforcement Service Owner and Service Management team in delivering the Enforcement Strategy. You will also build connections between the service team and operational teams, ensuring a collaborative and engaging working relationship to support the best delivery of service.
The role sits within a complex delivery and stakeholder environment, and you need to be equally comfortable dealing with operational staff, policy officials, central departments, and with press enquiries.
Key interactions will be with:
· Enforcement staff
· Senior National Services colleagues
· HMCTS and MoJ colleagues
· IT Programmes including DLRM Policy and Legal teams within MoJ and across Government
· Other Government departments
· Key stakeholders in the justice system including legal professionals and the voluntary sector
Your skills and experience
A Service Support Officer will have;
Essential Skills:
Experience or knowledge of managing service/process design and implementation
Experience of stakeholder engagement and management
Experience or knowledge of project delivery
Experience or knowledge in continuous improvement methodologies
Desirable Skills:
Experience or knowledge of the work of Criminal Fines Collection and Enforcement
Experience or knowledge of the collection and enforcement of confiscation orders and/or the processing of payments received by Criminal Fines Collection and Enforcement.
Location:
These roles can be based in any National Services office. There is a requirement for regular visits to Enforcement sites and frequent travel.
Further details:
Standard full time working hours are 37 hours per week. HMCTS welcomes part-time, flexible, and job-sharing working patterns, where they meet the demands of the role and business needs and are agreed prior to appointment. Skilled Worker Visa
From 22 July 2025, the Government increased the salary threshold and skills level for Skilled Worker visas. This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for sponsorship in accordance with the current immigration rules if you looking to apply for a Skilled Worker Visa for the first time.
The Department cannot consider sponsoring you for this role unless you have held a Skilled Worker visa continuously since before 22 July 2025. If you have held a Skilled Worker visa continuously, please raise this during your vetting checks and eligibility will be assessed in accordance with the immigration rules and transitional provisions in place.
