Job Title: Volunteer Vehicle & Cycle Maintenance Support Assistant – HIOWC306 Location: Southampton, Portsmouth, Basingstoke, Isle of Wight Salary: Volunteer Hours: 2 hours per week Help Keep Our Police Fleet Operational Are you practical, reliable, and take pride in high standards? We’re looking for a Volunteer Vehicle and Cycle Maintenance Assistant to play a vital role in maintaining our police fleet and supporting frontline operations. What You’ll Be Doing As a key member of the team, your responsibilities may include: Carrying out regular cleaning and basic checks on police vehicles (such as oil levels and tyre pressure) Maintaining and monitoring vehicle equipment and inventory Reporting any damage, loss, or faults promptly and ensuring kit meets required standards Escalating vehicle issues to your line manager where needed Transporting vehicles to and from workshops for servicing and repair Supporting workshop teams with the delivery and collection of parts Delivering and positioning Public Support Unit (PSU) vans at planned locations Cleaning and performing basic checks on police cycles Coordinating vehicle cleaning at approved external sites Providing a consistent, reliable, and high-quality service at all times Please see our full Role Profile for full details.
