Salaried Doctor Fixed Term Sickness CoverGP Practice

Job summary

We are a happy, highly motivated and forward-thinking GMS Partnership with two practice premises in Totton, Hampshire looking for a Salaried GP who would like to work for a fixed term period of six months to cover the maternity leave of one of our Partners. This would be 5 sessions per week and you would hold a patient list. Working days would ideally be Wednesday AM & PM, Thursday AM and Friday AM & PM, although there may be some flexibility for the right candidate.

The anticipated start date is week commencing 21 September 2026. Applications are welcomed from newly qualified GPs due to obtain their CCT in August 2026.

At our practice our GPs are well supported by Workflow Optimisation, Pharmacy and Script Management Teams.

Many of our staff trained at the practice and we have several with long service awards including that of 30 years. The population we serve is diverse and varied stretching from affluent areas to pockets of significant deprivation and health inequalities.

We achieve highly at the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) each year, seek out new opportunities and are actively involved in our local Primary Care Network (PCN). We have approximately 85 members of staff and are a highly regarded training practice welcoming GP trainees, F2 doctors and medical students. We are a Level 1 Research Practice.
