ABOUT THE ROLE As a Senior Care Assistant at a Barchester care home, you'll look after the different needs of our residents to enable us to deliver quality, person-centred care and support. Your role will involve supervising and inspiring a team of dedicated Care Assistants alongside the Deputy General Manager. You can also expect to support the clinical team in a specific area, such as medication, assessments, care plans or care reviews. Like everyone here, as a Senior Care Assistant, you'll always respect the dignity and preferences of our residents as well playing your own part in creating an environment that's warm, welcoming and vibrant. This is a nights only position 8pm-8am, 4 nights per week, including alternate weekends. ABOUT YOU You should have an NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care to join us as a Senior Care Assistant. We'll also need to see that you have specific knowledge of clinical care for the elderly. We're looking for people who are warm-hearted, compassionate and committed to giving each resident individualised care and support.
Main duties of the job
As a Senior Care Assistant at Barchester, you will be responsible for looking after the different needs of residents to ensure the delivery of quality, person-centred care and support. This role requires supervising and inspiring a team of dedicated Care Assistants, alongside the Deputy General Manager. You will also support the clinical team in tasks such as medication management, assessments, care plans, and care reviews. The position is for night shifts only, from 8pm to 8am, four nights per week, including alternate weekends. Candidates need to possess an NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care and have specific knowledge of clinical care for the elderly. Those who are warm-hearted, compassionate, and committed to providing individualised care and support are encouraged to apply. The role offers opportunities for career development through ongoing training, with potential progression to roles such as Care Practitioner, Regional Carer, or nursing.
