We have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker to join team at HMP Full Sutton, a category A/B Prison located in East Riding, South Yorkshire.

HMP Full Sutton is a maximum security prison with a capacity for around 600 males.

Hours

The site currently offers Monday - Friday

0800 - 1600 or 0900 - 1700 (can be flexible) Salary

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £33,510 per annum.

Main duties of the job

As a Substance Misuse Recovery Workeryour responsibilities will vary. You will:

• Provide outstanding evidence based care to a case load of psycho social patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
• Provide a programme of psycho social interventions, along with information and advice on substance misuse, alcohol, smoking cession, blood borne viruses and safe sex practices.
• Deliver non-judgemental care on a one to one basis and through group work, supporting the nursing and pharmacy teams in primary care within healthcare centres and on wings and house blocks.
• Youll make a real difference as defined throughout our bespoke HiJ competency framework following our policies, procedures and always considering safeguarding.
• Inspire excellence by forging strong links within our teams, our partners and stakeholders and providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within and feel proud of.

Qualifications, skills and experience required:

• Evidence of CPD
• Previous experience working with Substance Misuse or within a prison is desirable.
• Knowledge and experience in the provision of structured psycho social interventions
• Experience of working within the substance misuse multi-disciplinary frame work, that includes housing, social care, healthcare, and mental health pathways
• Anon-judgmental and compassionate approach
• Excellent communication skills
