The MHLT provides a specialist adult ageless service across the hospital and Emergency Department, delivering mental health assessments, interventions, and advice for patients experiencing a wide range of mental health difficulties, including self-harm, acute mental illness, co-existing physical and mental health conditions, and medically unexplained symptoms.

  • Contribute to the delivery of a responsive Mental Health Liaison Service operating 7 days a week.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with relevant Health board pathways and legislation, including the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.

Level 3 means being able to communicate in Welsh during routine clinical situations, such as welcoming patients, discussing straightforward aspects of their care and answering routine questions. If youre comfortable holding everyday conversations in Welsh, we encourage you to apply. Your Welsh language skills will help us provide person-centred care and enable patients to receive services in their language of choice. Have a look at our Croeso Candidate booklet below for more information.
