Job description:

Come and be part of an innovative team that delivers excellent business intelligence in a leading Russell Group university, driving data-informed decision making to support our Vision and Strategy.

We are seeking an outstanding, positive and highly-motivated business intelligence professional, with experience of leading the delivery of business intelligence and analytical reporting that meets and anticipates business needs in a large organisation.

You will lead the development and delivery of a business intelligence roadmap, and work with leaders and your team, to design and implement a service that underpins the University’s strategic aims. The role has a broad span which includes the delivery of strategic insight and horizon scanning, University-wide dashboarding and reporting, the delivery of statutory returns (legislative and funding requirements) and supporting the development of the technical platforms and capabilities to successfully enable delivery.

You will work closely with executive and business leads, using your leadership skills to deliver and successfully embed effective use of data in decision-making. You will be visible across the University, seeking to develop a culture of using business intelligence to make decisions, improve consistency, and to enhance levels of shared understanding of how to effectively drive benefit from data.

We are one of the best not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK. The University's Total Reward Package includes a competitive salary, a generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement, as well as access to a range of learning and development courses to support your personal and professional development.

We build teams of people from different backgrounds and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
