Hours: Monday to Friday, 11.45pm – 1.15pm (7.5 hours per week), term time only

Grade: 3

We are looking for a friendly, caring and enthusiastic Midday Meals Supervisor to join our lovely team at St Mary’s.

The role involves helping to make lunchtimes a safe, happy and enjoyable experience for our children, both in the dining hall and on the playground.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children, has a positive and patient approach and is happy to get involved in playground activities. You will need to be a good team player, with a caring nature and a willingness to support all children.

Previous experience of working in a school would be helpful but is not essential, as training and support will be provided.

The Midday Meals Supervisor will work as part of a team to supervise and support children in the dining hall, playground and other designated areas of the school, encouraging positive relationships, independence and inclusion. To help provide a safe, happy and enjoyable lunchtime experience for all pupils, ensuring their wellbeing, safety and positive behaviour throughout the lunch break.

Responsibilities

Supervise pupils during the lunchtime period, including in the dining hall, playground and other designated areas.

Ensure pupils are safe, appropriately supervised and following school routines and expectations.

Be aware of potential hazards and take appropriate action to prevent accidents.

Respond promptly to accidents, incidents or concerns, reporting these to the appropriate member of staff.

Follow the school's health and safety, safeguarding and security procedures at all times.

Qualifications
