The role

The Governors of Croft Primary School wish to appoint a committed, proactive, highly motivated and responsible Maintenance Officer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient running of the site including site security, maintenance, completion of relevant paperwork and maintaining outside areas.

Governors seek an individual who can:

Work as part of a team.

Communicate effectively with children, staff, governors, parents and contractors.

Demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures.

Manage their time effectively, ensuring key tasks and priorities are carried out as required and to a compliant standard.

Ensure the school and its grounds are always safe and secure for our children and staff.

Training will be provided where necessary in all aspects of school maintenance and health and safety (previous experience is desirable but not essential).

Start date: As soon as possible, subject to enhanced DBS clearance

Contract: Permanent contract. 31.25 hours a week – all year round

Hours: 31.25 hours per week, all year round, permanent. Monday to Friday 7:00am-9:45am and 2:45pm to 6:15pm. There may be some flexibility with the working pattern this can be discussed with the Headteacher.

Salary: Grade 5, SCP 8-14, (£27,709 -£30,515) pro-rata
