Personal AdvisorCouncil

16+ Personal Advisors provide statutory, relationship-based support to care leavers aged 16–25, helping them prepare for adulthood and move towards independence. As a Personal Advisor, you will assess needs, develop and review Pathway Plans, and offer advice, practical assistance and advocacy. You will help Care Leavers to access suitable housing, education, training, employment, health services, manage their finances and support them in all areas of their lives while ensuring their views, rights and aspirations are heard.

Working with partner agencies, you will coordinate support, manage risks and safeguarding concerns, maintain accurate records, and build trusted relationships that enable Care Leavers to achieve excellent, sustainable outcomes.
