Job Coach - St Werburgh's Development CentreJobsGoPublic
The role
As a Job Coach, you will play an important part in helping learners make progress in real workplaces.
You will work alongside learners, employers and colleagues to help create positive placement experiences, adapt support to individual needs and celebrate progress.
The Job Coach works closely with learners, the Supported Internship Teacher, employers and workplace mentors to support successful work placements and work-based learning. The role combines practical workplace coaching, personalised support, travel training, communication and relationship-building, record-keeping and safeguarding.
Support will vary according to each learner’s strengths and needs; some learners will require more intensive support while others will have fast-tracked independence at work.
We are interested in people who are patient, reliable, practical and motivated to help young people succeed. You may have worked in education, care, support work, vocational training, employment support, retail, hospitality or another environment where you have helped people learn industry skills, build confidence or overcome barriers.
