St Anne's School, Sixth Form College and Residence on Boothferry Road in Hessle are looking for an outstanding HR Assistant to join our team. You will have good communication skills and the ability to work accurately. Confidentiality, discretion, diplomacy and tact are essential.

You will provide efficient, accurate and confidential administrative support to the school’s HR function. Working under the direction of the HR Officer, you will maintain personnel records, coordinate recruitment and pre-employment checks, process absence, payroll and contract information, and support stablished HR procedures. The postholder will response to routine enquiries within agreed guidance and refer matters requiring professional advice, policy interpretation or management decisions to the HR Officer.

Acting as the first point of contact for HR advice and HR related issues for a staff group of approaching 200, you will be a confident and capable individual.

We are looking for someone with the following

Educated to GCSE standard, or equivalent in Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above

Experience in the use of Microsoft ICT packages.

Experience of employee relation issues such as sickness absence, disciplinary, probation and capability.

Experience of recruitment, selection and appointment.

Experience of working in an educational environment is desirable.
