Rolle Medical Partnership is seeking an experienced, motivated and forward-thinking Strategic Nurse Manager to provide strategic clinical leadership across our nursing and wider clinical workforce.
This is a senior clinical leadership position within our established practice and would suit an experienced Registered Practitioner, Advanced Health Practitioner, Advanced Nurse Practitioner or other appropriately registered clinician who is looking to develop their leadership career.
The successful candidate will be a clinician first, with the clinical credibility and experience to understand the challenges faced by our multidisciplinary team and the strategic leadership skills to help shape the future of our services.
Main duties of the job
The Strategic Nurse Manager will provide strategic clinical leadership, workforce development and professional oversight across our nursing and wider clinical workforce.
Working closely with the GP Partners, Practice Manager and Clinical Leadership Team, you will help shape our clinical workforce strategy and ensure we have the right people, skills, structures and systems to meet the needs of our growing and diverse patient population.
You will have an important role in ensuring that our multidisciplinary workforce is well supported, appropriately skilled, effectively utilised and able to work to the full scope of their professional capabilities.

Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic clinical leadership across the nursing and wider clinical workforce.
- Lead and develop our Advanced Health Practitioners, ANPs, Practice Nurses, HCAs, Nursing Associates and Paramedics.
- Develop and implement a clinical workforce strategy appropriate for a 26,000-patient practice.
- Support recruitment, retention and effective deployment of clinical staff.
- Review workforce requirements, skill mix and future workforce needs.
- Develop clinical career pathways and opportunities for professional progression.
- Lead clinical training, competency, supervision and appraisal frameworks.
- Support the development of advanced practice and new models of care.
- Promote effective multidisciplinary working and ensure clinicians are appropriately utilised.
- Provide leadership for clinical governance, audit, quality improvement and patient safety.
- Support CQC readiness and clinical governance requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve access, efficiency, patient experience and quality.
- Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative leaders to develop and implement service improvements.
- Contribute to the wider strategic planning and future direction of the practice.
