Job summary
<p>We are seeking an experienced <strong>Bank Healthcare Assistant (HCAs)</strong> to support our Urgent Treatment services in West Lancashire.</p><p>The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out and documenting <strong>NEWS2 observations</strong>, monitoring patient conditions, escalating concerns appropriately, and providing high-quality patient care within a fast-paced clinical environment.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Undertake and record NEWS2 observations accurately and in a timely manner.</li><li>Monitor patients and escalate any deterioration to the clinical team.</li><li>Support clinicians with patient assessments and care delivery.</li><li>Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.</li><li>Deliver compassionate, patient-centred care while adhering to infection prevention and clinical governance standards.</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Previous HCA experience within an urgent care, acute, community, or primary care setting.</li><li>Competent in performing and recording NEWS2 observations.</li><li>Competent in scoring paediatric patients according to POPS and escalate appropriately.</li><li>Competent in recording respiratory rates in young children and babies.</li>
