Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our friendly practice team. The successful candidate will support the nursing and clinical team in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
The role will include phlebotomy, ECGs, B12 vaccinations, health checks, H. pylori testing, FeNO, spirometry and other clinical duties, depending on experience and training.
You will need excellent communication skills, a caring approach and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
- Carry out phlebotomy, ECGs, B12 vaccinations and health checks.
- Undertake H. pylori testing, FeNO and spirometry following appropriate training.
- Record clinical observations and accurately update patient records.
- Support the nursing and clinical team with routine patient care.
- Provide a friendly, professional and patient-centred service.
- Maintain high standards of infection prevention, confidentiality and safeguarding.
- Assist with stock management, equipment checks and general clinical room duties.
- Work collaboratively with the wider practice team and undertake training as required.
